Review of Piku

Watched "piku" - a method movie , must watch ...difficult to say, who has done the best but Irfan has been simply outstanding and Big B has done another master stroke . Deepika is a revelation in the not so glamorous role . Shoojit's another creative master piece  after "madras cafe" and "Vicky donor" with flawless unmatched flow-----perhaps a five star rating . #Piku    A brilliant movie with a nice script.

Review of Bajirao Mastani

Typical Sanjay Leela Bhansali stuff, big canvas , three cornered love story . Awesome presentation . Sometimes, visuals look to override everything but nice to see technology helping out the grandeur artistry. Don't know how much factually correct the story is, but gives a faint feeling of RSS inspired . The India map behind the thorn of Bajirao is hard to believe in 1700 but he was known for his heroics in the wars when Mughals were on decline and perhaps the Marathas were at best during his period. Ranveer has excellently portrayed the manhood of chitpavan Brahmin and Deepika has looked glamorous and powerful. Her chemistry with Ranveer is sizzling. The use of Marathi in the dialogues is quite nice and all characters have delivered it beautifully. Priyanka's character could have been a lot stronger with a bit of extra space. Tanvi Azmi has not done justice to the role which has a lot to offer. Songs and dances are paissa wasool. The duo dance of Priyanka and Deepika reminds a bit of Madhuri and Aishwarya . But somewhere, all is lost in the grandiosity of screen. Still, I would recommend to watch it on screen rather than wait for the DVD.
